As anyone else read this book. What are you thoughts on it?
Yes Todd I've read both his book (Wild at Heart & Sacred Romance). They are both challenge some conventional Christian thinking in how we might arrive at some ideas about our faith. I gave a copy of the book to my oldest son not really sure that he would read it. Come to find out that not only did he read it but he started a small mens Bible study that was meeting in a local resturant once a week. It became the impudence for them to continue meeting even though they've finished the book. Needless to say as a father I'm pleased. Hope all's well with you and Anne and the kids. That's great. I enjoyed it too. So glad to hear that it sparked a Bible study, etc.
Hi Todd & Friends:It's good to see YWAM doing a Web community! It's long overdue :) I read Wild at Heart and led a book study on it. It was refreshing to read such a transparent book. It does challenge us to discover the things God has put in us that really resonate for us as men specifically --adventure, fighting the good fight, winning the heart of the princess, etc. I REALLY recommend the Wild at Heart videos as well. And actually Sacred Romance is even better than Wild at Heart. Beth and I went through that book with the accompanying manual together and it is perfect for couples. It's definitly not light stuff! I want to reread it again. May God establish the work of your hands! Brett BensonA Few recommendations: The CD "Third Circle (Enter the Worship Circle)" by 100 Portraits just came out and it's unique and refreshing since it's mostly from the Psalms.I've been looking for CDs straight from the Psalms and there aren't many. Great Web site/magazine for those who want to impact the culture and keep in touch with 20 somethings:www.relevantmagazine.com
